We all know that Paris Hilton loves boozing but she doesn’t want the same for the animals close to her heart! The socialite has turned her attention to the plight of drunken elephants in India.

The 26-year-old socialite was quoted saying, “The elephants get drunk all the time. It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them.”

Hilton stated these comments after hearing how six wild elephants broke into a farm in the state of Meghalaya and they were electrocuted after drinking supplies of homemade rice beer then uprooting an electricity pole.

Paris Hilton Hallmark Lawsuit Update

Socialite Paris Hilton is these days in Seoul for a promotional tour sponsored by sportswear brand Fila Korea but the hotel heiress is also making headlines in the States for her lawsuit against Hallmark Card Company.

The 27-year old fashionista sued the brand in September for “damages of no less than $100,000 for each of her claims in the suit and Hallmark’s profits on the card (which retailed for $2.49).”

Hilton’s lawsuit claimed that “a photograph of Ms. Hilton’s face is superimposed over a cartoon of a waitress serving food to a patron, along with the dialogue: ‘Don’t touch that, it’s hot. What’s hot? That’s Hot.’ The suit says Hilton owns the trademark “That’s hot,” which was registered in February 2007.”

But Hallmark has slapped back Paris by saying that she has a habit of making a joke of herself and they have the right to make a parody of her. In addition, Hallmark filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit on Friday, claiming:

“Hilton has become a household name, based in large part on her efforts to draw attention to herself. Having done so, she has subjected herself to public scrutiny and the parodist’s pen. The First Amendment does not allow her to respond by welcoming the fawning and flattering, but silencing the critical and comical.”
